Rod and Brian interviewed Lou (Coach) Roddy, who shares some key best practices, lessons learned, and stories from his years coaching leaders around the world. Grab a cold glass of tea, a comfortable chair, and a notepad and listen to the wisdom and power of concepts such as leaders should always:
- ‘Eat last’
- ‘Confront the bear!’
- ‘Remember that just because you are on 3rd base, don’t assume you hit a triple.’
- ‘Practice, practice, practice CCT’
- A delightful and informative exchange packed full of nuggets.

Lou “Coach” Roddy
I want you to know I have listened to the podcast, “Coaching and Being Coachable” twice today already. Not because it was someone I looked up to and knew but because this is wisdom and knowledge I need to help me grow and develop as a leader.
When you made the powerful statement that employees want to be valued and have a voice or sense of belonging. I had to take a step back and think about where I was employed and the majority of the time I did not feel valued.
I voiced my why’s and how’s but I was ignored and blown off. Always being used for what I can do instead of what I know. Expanding my knowledge and skills yet being held down stopping my growth.
But after listening to this I will take I’m consideration each step-by-step process and put it into action to help me grow into a Coach being Coachable.
Thanks
Thanks for sharing, Rod, Brian, and Coach Roddy. Great feedback on leadership and coaching.
