Brent has spent his entire professional career managing people and processes.
He has managed some of the largest government agencies in Oklahoma, ran a non-profit, and has started, ran, and sold his own small business. As the Executive Director for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, he was instrumental in assisting Oklahoma’s biggest corporations with their growth strategies while also creating pathways for attracting capital and keeping local. Brent loves puzzles which is what drew him to the Economic Development profession. He loves analyzing a pro forma and providing input on the best way to make the numbers at the bottom of the page black.
In many cases, companies can partner with their local, state, or federal governments to get a deal done. No one in Oklahoma knows these programs better than Brent because he has administered or created almost all of them.
