From GiANT to Magellan

As organizations grow, so does their need for new strategies and new structures. This was true at GiANT Partners as well. Since 2004, we had built multiple brands using the GiANT name.  As each entity successfully grew, we reached a tipping point in 2016 in which there was an increasing element of brand confusion as opposed to brand clarity. As such, we made the bold and strategic decision to change our name in October of 2016 from GiANT Partners to Magellan Executive Partners. This allowed the other GiANT brands to continue to flourish and make a positive impact in the world. The former GiANT Partners team will continue to create a legacy of long-term impact under its new brand, Magellan Executive Partners.

Our singular mission will continue to be impacting executives to help them and their organizations thrive. We will continue to grow utilizing our uniquely talented team, each with a heart to impact others.

The Story of Our Name

Our name comes from the bold and legendary explorer, “Magellan”.   His legacy remains today because of his willingness and passion to intentionally set his course to discover new paths and new worlds.  His boldest voyage, to circle the world, was long and dangerous.  This ambitious expedition proved that the globe could be circled by sea and that the world was much larger than had previously been imagined. Magellan did not survive the expedition.   However the expedition completed its mission and was ultimately successful.

We, at Magellan Executive Partners, believe that each of the organizations we serve can achieve things never thought possible and that their world can be much larger than previously imagined.  We also believe that each leader’s vision can and should leave a legacy that continues on beyond them.

The Story of Our Logo

  • The Pillars:

    • THE MAGELLAN TEAM: The Pillars represent the internal concept of “team”.  We understand the exponential power of working together as a team.   We know that when each of us individually brings our best as part of a larger team, we can create a positive and life-changing impact within those we serve.

    • OUR CLIENTS’ TEAMS: The Pillars represent our strategy of helping our clients’ organizations work better as a “team” to achieve their goals.

    • PARTNERING WITH CLIENTS: The Pillars represent the partnering approach we have with each of our clients.   We create partnerships and lifetime relationships with those we serve.

    • GROWTH: The Pillars represent the upward growth we strive to achieve with our clients.   Growth may be in their revenues, but it may also be in their personal growth, their growth as a team or even their growth in the impact they make in the world.

    • TRUE NORTH: The Pillars create an arrow pointed North, which keeps us ever mindful of our own True North, serving CEOs and Senior Executives.  We also help our clients uncover their True North, which we utilize to help them grow and achieve their success.

  • The Color Red: Red is the color of boldness.  We will boldly push our clients and ourselves.  Red is also the color of the heart.  We will always serve others with a humble and grateful heart, while we work to impact theirs.

  • The Shield:  The shield represents our strength and our role of protecting those with whom we have the opportunity to serve.   Our clients have worked hard to achieve their success. We will vigilantly protect what they have built.  We will use our gifts and our expertise to help our clients build upon their uniqueness to create their future success.

  • The White Space:

    • The white space within the shield represents the “unknown”. We can never know everything.  As we work together, there are always “unknowns” about our teammates, our business and even our clients.   Instead of filling the knowledge gaps with distrust, we will always fill the gaps (white space) with authentic blind trust.

    • The white space within the shield represents the “unknown” of our future. Our business will be filled with clients going away (aka “graduating”) and other shifts and changes.   Instead of being stressed, we will fill this white space with faith and joyous anticipation of what will come next.
