The Process

Innovators and inventors are not always great at developing the PITCH, with Magellan Executive Partners they don’t have to be.

• Hundreds of new startups each year prove their products and find themselves ready to receive capital to establish their business and work their business plan.  When bootstrapping is no longer enough and the friends & family investor groups are tapped out, it’s time to get serious about raising capital.

• This is the reality:  Less than 5 of 100 pitches to Private Equity or Venture Capital receives funding.  And it’s often not because their business or ideas aren’t great, it’s the pitch.

At Magellan Executive Partners, not only do we know a good pitch when we see one, we know what makes a presentation effective and ultimately successful.

•  An inadequate pitch to venture capital or a private equity group often leaves too much unnecessary work left to be done by the investor.

• Alternatively, many pitches simply fail to clearly articulate the business opportunity in an effective manner, leaving investors unsure of the likelihood of success.  These invariably lead to disqualification.

Here is what to expect from PITCH:

1. We will work to deeply understand the go-to market strategy

2. Review financial models including operating Pro-Formas, cash flow statements, and use of funds

3. Basic Due Diligence Review which will prepare for your investor’s own due diligence

4. Update/Create investor deck

Upon completion, you will have a clear understanding of the financials of your business and how they tie to your overall strategy and business fundamentals.

You will also have a complete pitch deck that tells your business’s story in a clear and concise way.

You will be ready to put your opportunity in front of the most sophisticated investors.

PITCH will first make a clear-eyed judgment, to make sure that your business is sound.  Then our experienced partners and staff will guide and direct you through the development of a successful PITCH.  We DO NOT guarantee that you’ll get funded, but we do guarantee to give you the best chance.
